Candidates for the Board
Dear Neighbors,
As residents of the Islander Club, we all want to see our building improve and continue to be a place that we are proud to call home. While some of us may have differing ideas on the paths to get there, a few of us share a similar vision and believe it's one that is in unison with the current sentiments of the building. As such, we are planning to run for the board as a group with the intent of moving major projects forward and following through on critical improvements to our home.
We'd like to introduce ourselves so that you can get to know us better, and would ask for you vote for us once the ballots are sent.

I am a Miami Beach native, a business owner and or roughly 5 years an Islander Club resident. I am passionate about the building and wanting to make it a place we are all proud to call home. We have made some progress, but not nearly enough. I want to ensure we move in a forward direction in order to #MakeIslanderGreatAgain. It is important to interview your BOD, considering the amount of trust you put into them, and I encourage you to please reach out to me to ask questions, or simply to get to know me better. Please feel free to email me at dandrouin@me.com anytime.

I grew up in Normandy Isle and Miami Beach and served on the Islander Board for 5 years, during the 40 year concrete restoration project. We have done a lot of work to renovate the building, but we're not there yet. Until the inside of the building matches the outside, there's more to be done! Feel free to reach out to me directly any time - Sachin.Bhandari.MSC@gmail.com

As Vice President of a public relations and digital marketing agency, I manage a team of publicists and more than $2 million in billings from clients annually. I have loved living in North Bay Village and am eager to share my ideas and work as a team to continue projects forward. If you're on the 6th floor, I'd love for you to stop by and say hi!

I grew up right here in North Bay Village. I have worked in the Advertising and Marketing field for over 10 years and am currently employed as Data Marketing Analyst. I consider myself to be an honest and fair person and believe that the board should be a reflection of all unit owners. I've lived in the building for a little over 3 years. Some of you may know me, but feel free to stop by my unit, 807, so I can introduce myself!

As a long-time resident of the Islander Club, I am well familiar with the structural issues and maintenance needs of our building. After spending so much on the building's exterior restoration, I feel that it is time to finish the job by renovating its interior so we can, once again, be proud of living at the Islander. I am committed to make that happen if elected.

I’ve chosen to run for the board as I’ve grown frustrated with the lack of motivation by the current board to actualize any improvements in the last year. The fact that they have ignored the growth of mold throughout our hallways and mold intrusion into several units is alarming at best. My agenda is quite simply — to complete the much needed renovations to ALL the common areas within the next year and . I have extensive experience in rehabbing old properties and will ensure that we can complete the transformation to this building at a fraction of the cost that the current board have presented thus far. I hope that all those invested at “The Islander” have been paying attention to all of the emails, and will make the effort to vote in order to protect that investment. We can’t allow this building to continue to fall apart. Feel free to contact me with any questions-
